The National Investigation Agency (NIA), India's prestigious anti-terror body, raided up to 19 locations in four states on Monday in connection with the ISIS* network case, according to media reports.
A week ago, the central agency raided over 40 locations in Maharashtra and arrested 15 people. One of those arrested was an ISIS module leader who used to administer an oath of allegiance to new recruits, the report said.
Large quantities of unaccounted cash, arms, sharp weapons, sensitive documents and various digital devices were recovered during the NIA raids.
According to media reports, NIA officials said the accused involved in terror activities were operating in India on the instructions of "foreign handlers" and were active in the country.
