Nine Bhatkal players felicitated at CM’s Cup for national-level beach soccer achievement

Bengaluru,  April 18: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Nine players from Bhatkal’s BIFA FC were felicitated during the Chief Minister’s Cup ceremony in Bengaluru in recognition of their performance at the Khelo India Beach Soccer National Championship held in Diu, where they represented the Karnataka team and secured a bronze medal.

The achievement is being seen as a significant milestone, with nine players from a single town making it to the state team, underlining the growing football talent in Bhatkal.

On the occasion, N. A. Haris, Vice President of the All India Football Federation and President of the Karnataka State Football Association, announced a cash reward of ₹1 lakh for the team. The announcement was made in the presence of Maawiya Mohtisham, Secretary of the Uttara Kannada District Football Association, and Ismail M Musba, Vice President of the Karnataka State Football Association.

The players were honoured in front of a large gathering at the stadium and received a standing ovation from the audience.
