Bhatkal: A strong and harmonious society can be built only through mutual love, compassion, brotherhood and respect, said Muhammad Kunhi, state secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka.
He was speaking at a ‘Seerah Get-Together’ organised by the Bhatkal unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind as part of its Seerah campaign, ‘Prophet Muhammad: The Light of Revolution’.
Kunhi said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad provide guidance for various aspects of human life, including worship, family, business, social relations and governance.
At a time when compassion, love and humanity are declining in society, the Prophet’s life offers valuable guidance, he said.
He stressed the need to eliminate hatred, mistrust and misconceptions among people and promote mutual understanding to build a peaceful and harmonious social environment.
Muhammed Raza Manvi, in his introductory remarks, said programmes that bring people together and encourage them to understand one another can help bridge social differences and promote communal harmony.
The programme also included the distribution of prizes to winners of the Seerah Quiz competition.
