Chakravarthy Sulibele booked for trying to promote animosity among Hindus, Muslims in Karwar

Karwar: 13 October 2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  In a recent development, the Karwar Rural Police have registered a suo motu case against Chakravarty Sulibele, the founder of Yuva Brigade, for his derogatory statements about Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his visit to the taluk.

Sulibele made these remarks during his visit to a temple in Bovivada, Kadavada village, as part of the 'Janaganamana Abhiyana.' Addressing the media, he expressed concerns about the challenges faced by Hindus in the state whenever Siddaramaiah assumes power, contrasting it with what he perceived as a sense of security enjoyed by Muslims. His comments, critical of the Chief Minister and Congress leaders, raised concerns among local authorities.

Given the recent tensions in Shivamogga and the potential to incite further discord, the Karwar Rural Police took swift action, initiating a suo motu case against Sulibele. The charges include making derogatory remarks against the Chief Minister and making statements that could fuel animosity between Hindu and Muslim communities.
