Adhaan heard at Alhambra Palace in Spain after 525 years

The Alhambra Palace, Qalat Al-Hamra in Arabic, is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. A video showing a man calling the Adhaan at the Alhambra Palace, Granada in Spain has gone viral. Mouaz Al-Nass, a man of Syrian origin called the adhaan. He said he felt the walls had missed ‘hearing the call to Allah.’ The Alhambra Palace was built by the Muslim Rulers of Granada. Muslims came to Spain in 711 and ruled for almost 800 years. In 1492, Granada came under Christian rule. Muslims were forced to convert to Christianity or risk facing torture. Many converted outwardly but practiced Islam secretly. By 1501, no Muslims officially remained in Granada.
