Zakir Naik awarded Anugerah Bintang Pahlawan

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 APRIL 2017: International preacher, Dr Zakir Abdul Karim Naik was awarded Anugerah Bintang Pahlawan Pribumi Perkasa Negara by Perkasa. The award was given to Zakir Naik to appreciate his contributions to Islam. Zakir Naik was handed a sash and songkok by Ibrahim Ali. Zakir Naik was present at Rumah UM to attend a programme with 150 Islamic scholars organized by Perkasa Islamic Affairs Bureau. In the programme Zakir Naik will deliver a speech entitled ‘Tackling Islamophobia, Misunderstanding About Islam '. The Mumbai-borne scholar has previously won the national-level Maal Hijrah Figure at the 1435H / 2013M Maal Hijrah Celebration in Plenary Hall, PICC, Putrajaya, Malaysia on November 5 2013.
