Zainab Siddiqua notches up 91.17 pc in PU 2 examinations

Bhatkal - 11 May 2011: Bibi Zainab Siddiqua (D/o Shabbar Siddiqua, Jeddah and Zubaida Kola) scored a brilliant 99 in business studies and 97 in accountancy to notch up 91.17 over-all percentagein the second PU examinations held in March 2011. With the only candidate in Anjuman institutions to cross 90 percentage she becomes the topper among Muslim-run institutions while results of non-Muslim run institutionsare yet to be received by this news service.

Anjuman Pre-university College (Boys) Anjumanabad obtained a pass percentage of 62.50. Arts stream recorded the lowest pass percentage with 30 pc followed by science 60.5 and commerce 70.9 pc.Mohammed Mohtisim with 85.6%topped the Commerce stream while Mohammed Noufil with 88.8 stood first in the Science stream andGanesh Irappa Naik with 63.5 pctopped the Arts stream.

The pass percentage for Anjuman Pre-university College for women (Basti Road) is as follows: Commerce (88.6%); Science (54%); Arts (72.8%). As stated earlier, Bibi Zainab who topped with 91.17 percentage, other distinction-holders among girls include: Sara Ramla (Arts, 89.3%); Azzah (Arts, 85.8%); Rabia Wafia (Arts, 85%); and Ameena Ragbath (Commerce, 85.6%).
