Youth attacked by mob in suspected moral policing act

Bantwal: A group of men allegedly attacked two youth while plying in a car in Farangipet here, on Sunday, in a suspected act of moral policing. The aggressive mob that waylaid the car in Farangipete attacked the youth in the car. Later the police dispersed the crowd. It is gathered that Suresh, a resident of Saligrama in Udupi had been to BC Road along with his female friend from another faith. While they were returning from BC Road towards Udupi, a gang waylaid the car and assaulted the duo. The incident occurred in Bantwal police station limits. Source: News Karnataka
