People generally take their constitutional right to vote for granted. They would love to blame the government for all the problems but when it comes to exercising their right to choose the government- they will stay away from the process and say my one vote will not make a difference.
Ask Congress leader and Minister C P Joshi about the importance of One Vote. CP Joshi, lost to BJP candidate Kalyan Singh Chauhan in Nathdwara constituency in Rajasthan in 2008 assembly elections by just one vote. While C P Joshi had received 62,215 votes, Chouhan's count was 62,216.CP Joshi was not only state Congress President at that time but was also tipped to be the next Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Ironically Congress party came to power after defeating the ruling party BJP but CP Joshi who was considered architect of this victory lost. His mother, wife and driver did not turn up to vote on polling day. Neena Verma of BJP too had won by one vote in 2008 from Dhar, MP. Later Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh high court reverses the result of the Dhar assembly constituency after four and half of the year of the election and declared Congress candidate Balmukund Gautam

Be familiar with your polling station and how to reach there. 12. Informed regarding polling timings. 13. Remain patiently for your turn 14. Inspire others to cast their vote for strong Democracy 15. If your employer doesn't give time to vote , It is an offence. please complaint 16. Select your representative without any influence. Do's 1. Do not cast your Vote on basis of religion 2. Don’t cast your Vote on basis of Caste 3. Avoid the temptation 4. Election day is not a holiday, so come out and vote 5.
