Yeshvantpur-Karwar train receives warm welcome in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 14 Nov 2011: Yeshwantpur-Karwar (Tri-weekly) train which started from today received warm welcome from the people of coastal region. In Bhatkal several organizations including Majlis Islah wa Tanzeem, Seva Vahini and Rabita Society and large number of crowd greeted the train with Banners, Sweets and Garlands which arrived at 8:20 pm here at Bhatkal Railway Station.

According to the sources, the Train No. 16515, Yeswantpur-Mangalore-Karwar Express will leave Yeswantpur at 07.30 hrs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and arrive at Mangalore at 17.45. Depart from Mangalore at 18.00 hrs and reach Karwar at 23.00 hrs.

Train No. 16516: Karwar-Mangalore-Yeswantpur Express (Tri weekly) will leaves Karwar at 05.30 hrs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and arrive at Mangalore at 10.55 hrs. Depart from Mangalore - 11.10 hrs and reach Yeswantpur (Bangalore) at 22:25 hours.

The train has 16 coaches all together and around 1,500 passengers can travel in it. Computerizedonline reservation counters have been opened at Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal and Udupi.

The train will stop at Udupi, Mookambika Road (Byndoor), Bhatkal and Kumta between Mangalore Junction and Karwar. The reserved second seating fare from Bhatkal to Bangalore is Rs 146.
