Yellapur police nabs two drug peddlers; one escapes

Yellapur 4 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Yellapur police on Tuesday arrested two men allegedly selling drugs (Ganja) here at Bombadikoppa cross of Yellapur taluk. The detained has been identified as Abdul Hameed Mulla (22), Altaf Jamal Bepari(21). While the other accused Gowtam Ganapati Pawar (22) fled from the spot. According to the sources, the three accused on Tuesday morning at Bombadikoppa cross were allegedly selling packets of Ganja on their scooty. Working on a tip-off Police Inspector Manjunath Nayak along with his team raided the spot and detained two during the operation. Police seized 1 kg Ganja worth Rs.15,000 during their operation and registered a case at Yellapur police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias)
