Yamuna murder case: Police forms 4 search teams

Murdeshwar - The investigation is in full pace in the mysterious Yamuna murder case which came to light on Sunday when her dead body was recovered from a firewood shelter in Murdershwar. District SP Mr Raman Gupta has formed 4 special investigation teams including 20 police officials. Udupi DSP Mr Jayanth Shetty and Mangalore District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) Inspector Venkatesh Prasanna are also assisting in this case. All 4 teams are expected to approach from different angles and they will explore all the possibilities which led to this ghastly murder.

According to the sources, the Laboratory report has confirmed murder after gang rape. The lab report also confirmed gang rape involving at-least 3 persons. However the police is not providing any investigation details to media in order to keep privacy. As per the latest information available to us one police team with Mangalore Laboratory experts had visited Fatima Manzil and took finger-prints and inspected whole house. The police had gathered vital informations from Yamuna's family members and also arrested some suspected persons. Police is also suspecting outsiders who may had taken advantage of this opportunity and committed this crime. Meanwhile the police has expressed full confidence in nabbing the culprits as soon as possible.
