WTB organizes free seminar on Civil Services

Bhatkal: In a bid to create awareness among senior students from Bhatkal to pursue civil services (IAS, IPS, IFS, KAS, etc) as a career after graduation, We The Bhatkallys (WTB) group organized one of the first of its kind workshop on "A career in Civil Services"on Wednesday morning.
The much anticipated and hugely successful seminar was held at Rabita Society's Kazia Hasan Hall and presided over by S.M. Syed Khalilurrahman CA.
Large Number of students and aspirants participated in the seminar to gain practical insights and valuable guidance from the experts.
WTB invited eminent dignitaries Mohammed Sanaulla, IAS [Retd.] and former Principal Secretary to Govt of Karnataka, Prof. Imtiaz Ahmad Siddiqui, former professor at Delhi University and director of Civil Services Coaching and Guidance Centre at the Zakat Foundation of India, and Mr. S. R. Sharieff, Director of Al Fazal Indian International School Makkah who shared their individual experiences and views about Civil Services as a career option.
The event was supervised under the guidance of Mr. Aftab Husain Kola, former Associate editor, Times of Oman and co-ordinated by Mr. Mohammed Aftab Qamri, secretary, Professional Colleges Board, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal.
After the inaugural session, the workshop was organized in which students and aspirants participated.

We The Bhatkallys Group was formed to create an awareness on social, education and political issues, especially engaging the youngsters of Bhatkal using a debate format on social media platforms. With an objective aimed at bringing a change in the society and thereby providing a better life for the citizens, We The Bhatkallys Group is making consistent efforts on this front.
It has a Facebook page (around 4000 members) with a focus on preserving our cultural heritage and inculcating in youth a spirit of social service and patriotism. It also shares useful information and news among our members.
