WPI Bhatkal unit condemns CAB, submits memorandum to President

Bhatkal 2 January 2019: Condemning the Citizen Amendment Bill passed in the Parliament, The Welfare Party of India, Bhatkal Unit submitted a memorandum to Assistant Commissioner here on Thursday, 2 January. The memorandum addressing the President of India, urged that, the bill passed in the Parliament is unconstitutional as it is based on religion. The citizenship Amendment Act provides Citizenship to all migrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan who are Hindus, Christians,Jains Buddhist and Parsi but excludes Muslims from the bill. Due to Anti-Minority attitude the members of WPI urged the President not to enact this act.
