New Delhi: 36-year-old Eman Ahmed from Egypt, who at 500 kilos was touted as the heaviest woman in the world is slowly and steadily making her way towards recovery.
Eman, who underwent a successful bariatric surgery, has recently been filmed doing a little dance and grooving to Arabic music on her road to recovery.
Earlier, Eman was unable to make such movements and the credit for this achievement goes to the doctors who have helped her shed almost 120 kilos.
The weight loss surgery was conducted under the supervision of well-known surgeon Muffazal Lakdawala, Chairman of Saifee Hospital's Institute of Minimal Access Surgical Sciences & Research Centre.
Doctors hope Eman who is currently on post-operative care will lose another 200 kg during the course of 6-8 months so that she can sit up.
Eman will return to her hometown within few weeks and her weight loss progress will be tracked by the team of doctors.
