Working towards getting a blood bank unit in Bhatkal: MLA Sunil Naik

Bhatkal 10 June 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik on Sunday inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp jointly organised by Shri Sharadha Sevaa Trust, Mundalli Friends Sports Club, Lions Club Murdeshwar, Indian Red Cross Society Kundapur, RNS Community Development Scheme through Polytechnic, and JCI Bhatkal City here at Mundalli Government School of Bhatkal on Sunday.
Addressing the inaugural event the BJP MLA said “Most of the times when people need blood, it is not easily available to them during emergencies. Such blood donation camps are important and plays an important role in helping people during their times of emergency”.
Sunil further added that he is working towards geeting a blood bank sanctioned in Bhatkal, a long due demand of the people in the region who have repeatedly complained of lack of adequate medical facilities to deal emergency cases in the District and constituency.
AMO of Government hospital of Bhatkal Dr. Savita Kamat also addressed the camp and said, "Donating blood is the greatest thing people can do. It helps people to avail the blood easily during the time of Emergency”.
Shri Sharadha Seva Trust President Sukrayya Haller Presided over the event.
Bhatkal BJP Unit President Rajesh Naik, Bhatkal JCI President Ramesh Kharvi, Lions Club of Murdeshwar President Ramdas Sher and others were present during the occasion.
