Women to protest against Triple Talaq Bill; Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem GS requests women to turn out in numbers on March 21 to display solidarity

Bhatkal 20 March 2018: Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal on Wednesday will lead a protest of women from across the town at Anjuman Girls High School Basti road, against the triple talaq bill which was passed in Lok Sabha earlier.
The protest rally is scheduled to begin at 4.30 pm at the Anjuman Girls High School Basti road, and will stress the government upon declining and taking back the bill in the best of the interests of a majority of Muslim women across the country.
The protesting women will also submit a memorandum to the President of India through the Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal, seeking his intervention in disapproving the bill.
Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem General Secretary and Convenor Muslim Personal Law Board Committee of the Tanzeem in a press release requested women from across the town to turn up in numbers to showcase the unity and solidarity against the bill.
