Greater Noida, July 14: A 45-year-old woman allegedly hired three contract killers to kill her 22-year-old son, as the latter had objected to his mother’s illegitimate relationship with a self-styled godman. The woman, Suresh Devi, had hired the contract killers for a sum of Rs. 35,000 to get rid of her son, said the police. Devi along with her lover, the self-styled godman named Kanhaiya and her son-in-law Amit plotted to kill her son Ashul and hired three contract killers- Sachin, Satyandra and Amit for the same. According to the police, Devi said that she met Kanhaiya from the neighbouring Deri Machcha village four years ago. Kanhaiya used to visit their house frequently and on one occasion her son Ashul caught them in a compromising position. From that day onwards, Ashul often had fights with his mother over her illicit relationship with Kanhaiya. The police said that Devi was fed up with his son’s behaviour and hence contacted Amit who hatched this plot. Circle Officer Nishank Sharma explained how the murder happened. Sharma said,”On June 18, Amit had asked Ashul to accompany him to buy a washing machine, but dropped him at a deserted location where the contract killers were waiting. The killers befriended Ashul and knocked him unconscious by offering him soft drinks laced with sedatives. Thereafter, the three strangled him to death and fled.” The incident came to light after Ashul’s body was spotted by the residents who then informed the police. The police grew suspicious after Ashul’s family members showed little interest during the probe. An autopsy was conducted thereafter which revealed the cause of his death to be strangulation. Upon investigation, Devi finally confessed to having killed her son. Hence, Police arrested Suresh Devi, her lover Kanhaiya, her son-in-law Amit Kumar and two of the three contract killers for the murder of Ashul in Dadri’s Luharli village last month. Source: India.com
