WhatsApp rolls out free phone voice calling feature in India?

Popular messaging app WhatsApp has reportedly introduced its much-awaited voice calling feature in India which lets users make calls to their contacts for free. According to unconfirmed reports, the voice calling feature is available on invite-only basis but there has not been any official communication regarding this feature. This feature is reportedly included in WhatsApp’s 2.11.508 version, which is not yet available in Google’s Play Store. Officially, the new voice calling feature of the messaging app is still being tested. The new WhatsApp calling service is not a new a new service as its is already offered by social networking apps like Skype, Facebook and others. Aiming to expand its userbase, WhatsApp had earlier unveiled its web browser version that allows users to access it on their personal computers. With over 600 million users globally, WhatsApp till now was available only on smartphones across operating systems Android, iOS, Windows and BlackBerry.
