Welfare party of India State president visits Bhatkal

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 17 Oct 2017: Abdul Hameed Faraan, State President of Welfare Party of India and Gen. Secy. of the party Tahir-ul-Hassan visited Bhatkal on Tuesday as a part of their three days trip on the coastal line of Karnataka to keep a check on the progress of the Party. An event was organized where Abdul Hameed Faraan addressed the party workers and members of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Bhatkal unit. Tahir-ul Hassan introduced Abdul Hameed Faraan briefly and spoke about his political career so far, and spoke about how Bhatkal town is contributing to the development of the coastal belt. He later termed the current government as ‘Fascist’ government and how it is the time to be united against the current government especially when our Freedom of Speech is in Danger. He then called on minorities communities to join hands during the upcoming assembly elections. Akbar Ali, former state president of the party while addressing the event took a dig at the Ruling central government and said at a time when nobody expected Indira Gandhi led government to lose the election, we saw it happen making it possible for us to topple the current government. He further added how all the top positions including president and Vice-president are held by the people who come from the ‘School of Modi and RSS ideology’. In his address, Abdul Hamid Faraan spoke in details about how politics will play an important role in the future of Muslims in India and how we shall start getting hold of it. He further said, currently there are only two ‘National Political Parties’ in the country and rest others stand nowhere to call it an ‘National Party’ and added it is high time we get over our differences and built an strong political base for Muslims to survive in this country. Yunus Ruknuddin welcomed the guest at the beginning of the event. While Qamaruddin Mashaikh comperred the event.
