Welfare Party of India demands more Aadhar centers in Bhatkal; submits memorandum to AC

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 27 Feb 2018: Welfare Party of India (WPI) on Tuesday submitted an memorandum to the Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner (AC) demanding more Aadhar Centers in the town against the only one center it has currently. Speaking of the public grievance into the issue WPI Bhatkal President, Shoukat Khateeb brought into the notice of the AC that, the only Aadhar center of Bhatkal takes 40 applications a day for which the local residents rush to the center as early as 6.00 am in the morning, long before the official working hours of the center. He further added "At the center, hundreds of people including school students, senior citizen, ladies and NRIs has to make queue by 6.00 am to make it to the first 40 applicants of the day and the rest of the locals who turn out are sent back by the officials". The memorandum demanded the administration's intervention into the issue and to deploy more officials and installation of 3-4 centers in town to avoid the inconvenience being caused to the seniors citizens and NRIs who runs out of time of their stay in the town while only waiting to apply for the Aadhar card. In the absence of Assistant Commissioner at the office, one of the officials from his office accepted the memorandum and assured the WPI members and officials of resolving the issue in the best of their capacity after forwarding the memorandum to the AC. Muhammad Asif, Ibrahim Shaikh, Qamaruddin Mashaikh, Naveed Shabandri, Ashraf Barmawar, Abdul Jabbar Asadi and others were present along with WPI President Shoukat Khateeb at the AC's office.
