Water logging cleared as residents complain against inaction

Bhatkal 22 July 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Workers of Jali Patan Panchayat on Monday morning cleared several water logged areas of in its limits giving much relief to motorists and pedestrians to move freely on the roads. As heavy rain gripped Coastal Karnataka Bhatkal on Sunday, several places in Bhatkal Taluka, including Jali Patan Panchayat were floodes with stagnant water, with residents complaining about unpreparedness of the administration to tackle water logging. On Monday, taking note of the grievances, officials of Jali Patan Panchayat along with the workers stepped into action and removed all the obstacles and wastes that were blocking the flow of water. To prevent the plastic wastes flow along with water, officials placed nets in the drainage culvert after clearing them. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
