Visually impaired Bhatkal lad wins first place at International Quran recitation competition in Iran

Bhatkal 26 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Mohammad Anees Baddu s/o Burhanuddin Baddu, an alumni of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, won first place in the International Quran recitation competition that was held recently in Iran. Anees is a visually impaired Hafiz of Quran has made a reputation for himself by winning several such competitions at several levels. Anees was representing India in the competition and Iran where he emerged winner to make his town, state and country proud. As soon as the news of Anees winning the competition in Iran went viral on social media, congratulatory messages from several organizations and individuals started pouring in.
