Vipul Kumar takes charge as Mangaluru Police Commissioner

Mangaluru 19 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) On Wednesday, April 18 Vipul Kumar IPS took over the charge of Police Commissioner of Mangaluru Commissionerate from T R Suresh. Earlier, Vipul Kumar was serving as IGP and Director of Karnataka Police Academy. Now he has been posted both as Inspector General of Police and a Commissioner of entire Mangaluru Police Department. Addressing the media on Wednesday, Kumar said an important task before him is to ensure peaceful conduct of the Assembly election in the region. He also assured that maintaining law and order in the region is his priority even when this is his first posting in Mangaluru. Kumar hails from Bihar and is an 1999 batch IPS officer, with command over several languages including Kannada. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa)
