Village accountant caught red handed during Anti Corruption Bureau raid in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 28 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Anti-Corruption-Bureau(ACB) on Wednesday raided the Village accountant office and trapped a accountant for allegedly taking bribe from the people.
The accused has been identified as Village accountant of Heble village Annaiah lamani.
As per sources, Ganapati Naik, a resident of Tengingundi had approached the village accountant months back for the removal of his brother's name in the property papers and government documents as he died recently.
However, on Wednesday when he finally demanded bribe of Rs.2,000, he complained the matter to the Anti corruption Bureau.
ACB DySP Girish and his team raided the village accountant office near Nemmadi Kendra and interrogated him for about 5 hrs between 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
While speaking to the media, ACB DySP Girish said, "We received a complaint regarding corruption in the office, we raided the place. However, the necessary investigation has been conducted. The accused will be presented before the court" he added.
