Veerappa Moily to head Cong. poll manifesto panel

The Congress has constituted a manifesto committee headed by former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily, MP, to draft the party’s poll manifesto for the 2018 Assembly elections. Party leader B.L. Shanker is the vice-chairman of the committee. The panel has 33 members, including KPCC working presidents Dinesh Gundu Rao, S.R. Patil, and three Ministers H.K. Patil, M.B. Patil and Kagodu Thimmappa. “Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has approved the constitution of the executive committee of Karnataka Pradesh Congress, manifesto committee for the forthcoming Assembly elections, and 15 district Congress committees’ presidents,” a statement from AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said.
