Vaccination camp organized for Hajj pilgrims of Uttar Kannada district at Majlis Islah and Tanzeem: A total of 162 pilgrims were vaccinated

 162 Hajj pilgrims receive vaccination at camp organised by Tanzeem in Bhatkal

Bhatkal April 22, 2025: Continuing its annual tradition of public service, the district administration, in coordination with the health department, organised a vaccination camp for Hajj pilgrims at the premises of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal. A total of 162 pilgrims from across Uttara Kannada district received necessary vaccinations during the day-long camp.

 

The camp was jointly supervised by Maulana Azizur Rehman Ruknuddin Nadvi, who was designated as the camp in-charge, and other Tanzeem members. Speaking to reporters, Maulana Azizur Rehman Nadvi said that out of the total vaccinated, 99 pilgrims were from Bhatkal, while others came from different parts of the district. The Bhatkal pilgrims were scheduled for the afternoon session.

 

Iqbal Sohail, one of the senior functionaries of Tanzeem, also addressed the gathering. He extended gratitude to the district and taluka administrations, the health department, and other supporting staff for their cooperation in conducting the camp effectively and with order.

 

Dr. Savita Kamat, Medical Officer at the Bhatkal Government Hospital, appreciated Tanzeem's coordination and consistent efforts. “It is commendable how Tanzeem organises this camp with such discipline and commitment year after year. It truly reflects a strong spirit of public service,” she said.

 

Alongside the vaccination process, pilgrims were also given important guidance about Hajj procedures. Imam and Khatib of Ahmad Saeed Mosque, Maulana Jafar Faqih Nadvi, and Maulana Abdul Noor Fakardey Nadvi delivered brief talks to the pilgrims, explaining key religious and practical aspects of the pilgrimage
