Uttara Kannada District in-charge minister Shashikala visits Karwar, assures to resolve problems faced by fisher-women

Bhatkal 1 October 2019: Uttara Kannada District In-charge Minister Shashikala Jolle on Tuesday visited Karwar, first time after being handed the charge of Uttara Kannada District. Taking note of her visit women who are mainly depending on Fisheries in Murdeshwar urged the Minister to consider them priority while auctioning shops and stalls at the Murdeshwar beach. While submitting the plea by the women Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik also explained the problems of local women who are depending on fisheries and urged the Minister to take actions regarding their issues. Shashikala, instructed Zilla Panchayat CEO Roshan to take necessary steps and find solutions to their grievances at the earliest. Uttara Kannada DC Harish Kumar, Karwar MLA Roopali Naik and others were present during the occasion.
