Uttara Kannada DC Dr.Harish Kumar visits Bhatkal; take stock of poll preparation

Bhatkal 23 March 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)In the wake of upcoming Lok Sabha election, the Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Harish Kumar on Friday visited Bhatkal to inspect ‘sensitive’ and ‘very sensitive’ polling booths of the Taluka here. He later visited the ‘strong room’ at Shri Guru Sudhindra collage and inquired about the installation of CCTV cameras and other basic security and precautionary measures near the polling booths in the Taluka. In the meeting held at Tahsildar office, he was briefed about the current scenario of the Taluka, voter’s enrollment campaigns, election awareness drives and other information by Tahsildar, Assistant Commissioner and other election officials. On this occasion DySP Valentine D’souza, CPI Ganesh KL, Town PSI Kusumadhara and others were present on this occasion. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
