UT Khader meets Union Minister DVS; demands M'lore Rly Division

Mangalore: State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader met Union Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda in New Delhi on Tuesday June 3 and held talks with them on the various railway demands of the region. Khader also submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister enlisting various demands including setting up of a separate Railway Division for Mangalore at the earliest, to establish an educational railway corridor between Manipal-Mangalore and Mangalore-Konaje, to develop Ullal Someshwar railway station and to construct pedestrian bridge at Tokkottu Junction. The Union Minister who responded positively to the demands said he was busy preparing for the Railway Budget and assured to consider the demands. State Energy Minister DK Shivakumar was also present during talks.
