Urdu Journalists to be awarded at World Mushaira

Bangalore - On the occasion of World Urdu Conference and Mushaira which is scheduled to be held on 29, 30 Dec, three eminent journalists will be awarded in recognition of their services in the field of Urdu Journalism and Literature. According to the press release, Asst Chairman of Organizing Committee, Mr Ubaidullah Shareef said that, Mr Ali Hafeez will receive 'Late Mahmud Ayaz Award' which is named after Founder Editor of 'Salar Daily'. Mr Saleh Muneer will receive 'Late Ismail Tabish Award' which is named after Founder of 'Paasbaan' and Mr Ameerullah Nizami will be honored with 'Late Usman Asad Award' which is named after Founder Editor of 'Nasheman'.

According to the release, Mr Ramoji Rao, founder of E-TV Urdu will also be honored for his distinguished service to Urdu in electronic media.

It may be noted that, the award ceremony will be held on the night of 30th Dec at Shivajinagar Stadium on the occasion of World Urdu Mushaira.
