Updation of electoral rolls

The Election Commission has re-opened its electoral rolls for updation. Citizens who have completed the age of 18 years as on January 1, 2014 can contact the respective Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, BBMPward officer or Tahsildar office and submit their application along with necessary documents to include their names, delete entries in the roll or to correct the entries in the electoral roll pertaining to their names and address among other facts. The online registration of CEOoffice is also opened for filling forms online. The EC had suspended addition, modification and deletion of names to the electoral roll on account of the Lok Sabha 2014 elections.   DHNS
