Unseasonal rain in Bhatkal last night, Farmers worried

Bhatkal: 6, January 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Two days ago, the coastal areas of the State were hit by lightning and thunderstorms, though Bhatkal also received heavy rain late last night. Due to unexpected consequences of rain, Farmers are worried about their crops, as they did not expect such unwelcome arrival. Farmers say several trees bloom in the January season, such as jack fruit, betel nut, mango, cashew, etc., but if it rains, the flowers will collapse and the crops will be destroyed. Such conditions could last for one day tomorrow, the Meteorological Department reports.
