Unknown miscreants throw animal bones near Naga Banna tree

21 Oct 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Unknown miscreants here threw animal bones at Naga Banna tree near Old Bus Stand, Bhatkal. Angry on this, BJP leaders here have demanded immediate arrest of culprits behind this culpable act. On this occasion, BJP leaders Govinda Naik, Dinesh Naik and others have put pressure on police to arrest the culprits as this act has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and also desecrated the temple. Looking at the affecting situation in Bhatkal, UK District SP R Dilip and Additional SP Megan Navar arrived here in Bhatkal and took stock of the situation. In separate meetings with Tanzeem members, BJP leaders, and press reporters, they have put an emphasis on maintaining peace and harmony in the town and to restrain themselves from getting provoked on any incident. Tanzeem members on this occasion, detailed on the recent Asarikeri incident and have demanded legal action on culprits. On this occasion, District Deputy Commissioner, Mrs Amkongla too visited Bhatkal and have beseeched to all the sections of the community to maintain peace and brotherhood in town.
