Unknown dead body recovered from Nastar beach

Bhatkal - 26 Dec 2011: An unknown dead body was recovered from Nastar beach yesterday evening when some locals spotted the body and informed the police. The body was in a decomposed state and the head was badly trapped between Mountains. Police with the help of local Muslim youths and social workers, Mr Nisar Ruknuddin, removed the body and shifted it to the Bhatkal Govt Hospital for post-mortem. Preliminary investigation revealed that, the dead body belongs to Hindu community. A case has been registered in Bhatkal Police Station and the investigation is underway to establish its identity.
