Unknown dead body found in Venkatapur River

Bhatkal - 06 Nov 2011: An unknown dead body was found at Venkatapur River near bridge today morning at around 9:30 am. The condition of the body was very bad and very difficult to recognize. Nothing was recovered from the dead body to establish its identity except 30 Rupees and a tag on his shirt indicating Aditya Tailors, Dharwad.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station and the body was shifted to Bhatkal Govt Hospital for post-mortem.
