Unknown dead body found in Bhatkal's Gorte forest

Bhatkal - 14 August 2012: An unknown dead body in a highly decomposed and charred state was found here in Bhatkal's Gorte forest today morning. The body was not identified as the face was burnt beyond recognition and nothing was found nearby to establish its identity. It is believed that, the person was not a residence of nearby area and he might have murdered somewhere else and dumped here. The killer has not left any trace of his crime and the face of a dead body was burnt to hide hisidentity. Bhatkal police team led by CPI Shiva Prakash visited the spot and after doing preliminary investigation, sent the dead body to Govt Hospital for post-mortem.
