'Uniforms provided to government school students are of poor quality' members alleges at Taluka Panchayath meeting

Bhatkal 10 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Taluka Panchayath member Pashwarnath Jain during Taluka Panchayath monthly executive meeting alleged that the uniforms provided to the students of Government schools by the education department are of poor quality, and needs to be replaced with better quality uniforms on Tuesday October 9. Bhatkal BEO MR Munji replying to the allegations said “The uniforms for the students are provided directly by the state government, and we cannot do anything about it" while assuring that he will bring the issue into the notice of higher authorities. Talking about the Agricultural activity of the Taluka, Taluka Panchayath member Jayashree Gonda said “In order to increase the agricultural productivity of Taluka, the agricultural department has to provide high quality seeds”. During the meeting the members also discussed issue pertaining to dialysis unit of Bhatkal government hospital while complaining that most of the people return without using the services due to long waiting time as there are only two units of dialysis machines which is insufficient, they said. The meeting was presided by Taluka Panchayat President Eshwar Biliya Naik. Vice-president Radha Ashok Vaidya, Minakshi Jattappa Naik, J.M MuruGoda and others were present during the meeting.
