Mumbai - 16 July 2011: To protest the cowardly bomb attacks, 72 ulemas will march from Minara Masjid to Opera House on Saturday. The protest of the 72 ulemas will recall the memory of the Muslims' first battle against terrorism in Karbala.

A meeting to discuss the issue was conducted on Thursday night where the decision was taken for the protest. "The first battle against terrorism was fought at Karbala where 72 Muslims took part. They did not surrender. We want to spread the same message that terrorism has nothing to do with religion or community but it is against humanity," said Moin Miya, a renowned cleric. The protesters will be carrying placards and it will be a silent march. The Raza Academy, a socio-religious body will also be participating in the protest.

These ulemas were the first one to come forward and protest against the 26/11 attacks. "No religion permits terrorism. Those killed in the blast had families. Now their families are grieving. Ex-MLA Yusuf Abrahani said the police can take time to explore all angles but should arrest the culprits at any cost.
