Udupi: Tempo transporting tarpaulin for Modi's event meets accident; three killed

Udupi 30 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Three people who were travelling in Eicher tempo that was carrying the tarpaulin for the pandal for the program of PM Modi which is supposed to be held in Udupi District on May 1 for election campaign. The accident took place on Sunday Morning, April 29 when the tempo which was coming from chitradurga hit the Electric pole on the roadside near Perdoor of Udupi. The deceased identity is yet to be known but they are reportedly from Assam. There were around 12 labourers in the vehicle. One died on the spot while two others succumbed to the injuries on way to the hospital. Rest others are injured and are being treated at hospital. Hiriyadka Police arrived on the spot and are investigating on the case. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa)
