Udupi: Rahul Gandhi to hold roadshows from Mangaluru to Kundapur in February

Bhatkallys News Bureau Udupi 20 Jan 2018: To boost up the forthcoming Karnataka Assembly election, the congress is on its high pitch to retain its power in the state. Rahul Gandhi, President of All India Congress Committee( AICC), is likely to visit the state and hold a roadshow between Mangaluru and Kundapura, sources said. The Karnataka polls are expected to be held in May. The dates for polling to the 225-member state Assembly are yet to be announced by the Election Commission (EC). "Rahulji will visit Karnataka from February 10-12 for the first leg of the (poll) campaign," G Parameshwara - state unit chief of the party, told reporters after the meeting. Mr Parameshwara was in the national capital to attend a meeting called by Mr Gandhi to review the party's preparedness and to discuss its strategy with senior leaders in the run-up to the Karnataka polls. Gandhi will address meetings and interact with intellectuals, farmers, women and students during his visit to Karnataka. He will also hold discussions with district Congress Committee of Mangaluru and Udupi.
