Udupi: Minister Pramod Madhawraj's campaigning vehicle seized for unauthorized campaigning

Udupi 29 March 2018: District in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj's campaign vehicle was siezed for using it for campaigningfor upcoming Assembly Election without seeking prior permission. The siezed vehicle was parked outside the inspection bungalow on Wednesday, March 28.
After EC had announced the dates of Assembly Election, DC Priyanka Mary Francis had strictly instructed all the parties to obtain permission for all the Party campaign vehicle.
The party workers later argued that the vehicle didn't poses any party symbol or pictures of AICC President Rahul Gandhi or CM Siddaramaiah.
The team lead by Probationary IAS Officer Poovitha conducted the operation.
"Action would be taken by the court against the driver and the party, who are considered the accused. Once the candidature of Madhwaraj is finalised, he would be considered an accused". Poovitha added.
