Udupi: Final eloctoral roll released, a total of 9,78,503 voters can cast their votes in this assembly elections from the District

Bhatkallys News Bureau Udupi 04 March 2018: After the final summary revision, final electoral roll of the district for assembly election was released in the presence of representative of political parties by Additional DC Anuradha G at the DC office on Saturday, March 3. 1,078 polling stations will be set up in five assembly constituencies. Out of 9,78,503 voters, 5,07,773 are female voters and 4,70,730 are male voters. 29000 new names were added to the list during the special summary revision. The draft was published in Nov 2017. Village-level electoral teams has been formed to create awareness about voting, informed ZP CEO Shivanand Kapsi. Speaking to the media personnel, Anuradha said that the copy of electoral roll has been published in all the taluk offices and the copy of same will be given to the officer on every booth assigned by district administration. She further said that the public can verify the list and in case of missing names, an application can be submitted by filling Form 6.
