Udupi: Complaint filed against travel agency for promising fake jobs in Gulf countries

Udupi: A person named Prakash Suvarna has lodged a complaint against a travel agency in Udupi for fraud and falsely promising the him of offering a job in Saudi Arabia. Prakash who is a driver by profession, paid Rs. 25000 and 60,000 in two installments as commission to Susheel, owner of the agency, with a hope to get an employment in gulf. He further booked flight tickets for himself to Saudi Arabia. However, when Prakash reached Saudi, he was denied job by the agents who claimed that he arrived late. Prakash then had to return back to India on his own. After coming back, he enquired about it to the agency. The owner denied his responsibility and used foul language while also threatening him. It was later noticed the issued visa was a visit visa. A complaint has been lodged at Udupi city police station based on the complaint to the court by Prakash claiming that, this act of fraud has cost Rs 1.20 lakh loss to him.
