Udupi Advocate among Top 10 lawyers of India

Zaorez Shabab Udupi 05 Dec 2017: Dr B V Acharya, Former advocate general of Karnataka and senior advocate, has been named in the top 10 lawyers of the country announced by the Bar Council of India on December 3 2017. The Bar Council of India announces the list of top 10 lawyers of the country on December 3 to mark 'Lawyers Day', a day on which the council came into existence. The practice of announcing the list of top 10 lawyers was introduced three years ago. And the lawyers who are named in the list get felicitated by the Bar Council of India. Acharya was felicitated during the annual celebrations of the Bar Council of India on December 3 in Delhi by Retd. Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Justice A P Shah, attorney general, K K Venugopal and senior advocate, Fali S Nariman. Interestingly Acharya was the only Advocate from the Southern India in the list.
