Uday Pai wins Bhatkal TMC elections

Bhatkal - 30 June 2011: BJP's Mr Uday Pai clinched TMC ward no 19 seat by defeating his nearest rival independent candidate, Mr Shridhar Devadig by 126 votes. 71.3% polling was recorded.

The election was held following death of Councillor Upendra Bhat, who died three months ago.

There were 3 candidates in the fray for this TMC seat, the details of votes secured by each candidate is as follows,

1. Uday Pai (BJP) - 360 votes
2. Shridhar (Independent) - 234 votes
3. Shri Padkanchgar - 68 votes
