The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADFCA) has decided to shut down a food establishment at Al Raha beach at Al Muneera, Abu Dhabi.
According to an Emarat Al Youm report, Thamer Rashid Al Qasimi, official spokesman of the authority, decided to close the Pizzaro branch after it committed the same violations thrice. The three food safety inspectors who have visited the branch found that food expiration dates have been tampered with. They also discovered insects in the kitchen. The inspections were conducted in June, July and August.
They also found that the person in charge did not take the necessary actions to improve the hygiene standards of the establishment despite multiple warnings.
Al Qasimi said the closure will be in effect until the restaurant is no longer deemed to be in violation of food safety rules. He added that work can resume in the entity once the restaurant management addresses the situation.
