UAE seizes 11 kg of drugs, illegal pills from Iranian ship

Abu Dhabi: An Iranian ship smuggling in drugs and two people has been seized by the UAE's Ministry of Interior. Both of the men were suffering from fatigue and exhaustion due to a lack of oxygen and rising temperature. Colonel Saeed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), stated that alertness and efforts of the Anti-Narcotic staff and cooperation of the concerned bodies, resulted in seizing 11.5kg of hashish and 142,725 narcotic pills, which were hidden in secret compartments. This comes with the aim to foil all the criminal plans and plotting to harm the UAE and its gains and citizens. The United Arab Emirates' officials seized drugs being smuggled aboard an Iranian ship at Port Khalid in Sharjah, state news agency WAM said.
