UAE announce New Year's holiday for public sector

Employees of UAE federal ministries and other government entities will be given two days off for to mark New Year's, the government announced on Tuesday. According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the official holiday period will be January, December 31, 2017, and Monday, January 1, 2018. Work will resume on Tuesday, January 2, according to a FAHR circular.
