Two persons injured after stabbing incident

Bhatkal - Two persons injured including one seriously when they were attacked by two other persons yesterday night around 9:00 pm here at Hanuman Nagar, Bhatkal. The injured have been identified as Habeebullah Kodi (26) and Mohammed Sadique Kodsali. According to the sources, Habeebullah has given money to Riyaz, a rickshaw driver. The incident took place when Habeebullah along with his friend Sadique went to collect the money. On seeing them, Riyaz and his brother Munna allegedly assaulted with knives. Habeebullah received heavy injuries while Sadique escaped with minor wounds and informed the others about this incident. On receiving the information Bhatkal ASP Dr. Rohini, CPI Guru Mathur, PSI Manjunath Gowda and other staff rushed to the site and shifted severely bleeding Habeebullah to the Govt Hospital where after getting initial treatment he was shifted to Mangalore Hospital. Police had arrested one of the attackers, Munna.
